This photograph shows the western end of the site and the well used footpath that leads from Lavrock Lane across the site to the canal.  This area has been ‘tended’ by residents in an attempt to prevent flooding which occurs regularly after heavy rain.  About 6 or 7 years ago we cleared the area, levelled it with gravel and planted grass seed.  Of course, nature always has her way and it is now rather overgrown again!

The photograph below is of the eastern end of the site.  This is a large grassy area often used by local children for football or cricket.

This photograph was taken looking back across the grassy area towards the eastern end.  You will eventually reach the bridge over the canal and Common Moor.
